Thursday, March 5, 2020 - Blind taste night at Maison Dakota. My bottle. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of perfumed florals, sandalwood, earth, red cherries. Developing.
On the palate, dry, juicy high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of toasty sandalwood, perfumed floral spices, savoury earth, pretty sweet ripe red cherries. Long finish.
Very good quality. Lovely Chambolle expression, and should be even lovelier as the oak integrates a bit more over the next 3-4 years.
