Tuesday, March 21, 2017 - Youthful medium expressive nose displaying intense black fruit, blackberry, roasted black cherry, animal a la crus Beaujolais, iron and earth. Excellent concentration, ripe sweet black fruit driven palate impression, bright acidity, nicely integrated tannins and a long earthy finish. It is certainly very ripe but not overripe for my palate. This will start to peak in five years and will improve for another decade or two, gaining sous bois. Really impressive especially for a village wine.
