Saturday, June 9, 2018 - Had side by side with the '08 Myriad Las Madres and provided a great study in contrasts. This was riper, richer, more mineral, and a total olive-bacon-game meat bomb. While fun and delicious and has a bit of wow factor, it was also over the top and totally louche - it almost feels like you need to shower and wash the sin off after drinking this. Less acid, integrated tannins and the richness suggest drinking sooner rather than later.
