Friday, January 11, 2013 - Translucent clear ruby center, garnet middle and a little bricking at rim. Lighter in color than most CdP I've seen, but tremendous legs/body in the glass. Nose is overripe red fruit, herbal spices, white pepper, leather. Balanced and complex on the nose. Palate is silky and dripping with glycerol. Red fruit, spice, rounded tannins, medium acid, medium-long finish that carries the overall balance of the wine. Excellent pairing with lamb, merguez, goat cheese, grilled meat. Veritas NYC 1/11/13
