Sunday, April 7, 2019 - 2009 J-F Mugnier NSG 1er Cru Clos de la Marechale Blanc I’ve recently read a few negative comments about ‘09 White Burgundies maturing too quickly, some with premox, etc. Not this one! Inviting nose of green apple, pear, white peaches, a touch of honey and smoke; precise notes supported by a crystalline structure and a lively and fairly long finish. It does soften a bit in the glass over time, so perhaps it’s nearing its peak, but right now it’s a terrific bottle.
