Thursday, November 22, 2018 - 2012 base, disgorged March 2015, 4.5 g/L dosage. Mildly bready nose, with a slightly high-toned character, as well as some sweet apple notes. The palate is fairly rich, with again some high-toned qualities, and some almond flavours. Not too complex, this still feels quite unintegrated, and there's some bitterness on the back end. As much as I love Chartogne-Taillet, I think the entry level isn't where the magic happens.
