I love the balance between elegant oxidative caramel notes and fruit in this, the finish is perhaps a bit short and there is a slight bitter note, but for the price this is excellent stuff.

Very few, slow-moving bubbles compared to other champagnes that I’ve opened recently. This was very bracing at first, but after about 30 minutes, it came together with nice apple and pear fruit flavors and good creamy, lemon curd flavors. I tasted this with Tom and Kim and didn’t get great notes. I think some age would have been nice for this wine, as I suspect it would have developed more creamy notes and the acidity would have calmed down a bit more.

Base 2021, bottle Jul 22, disgorged Nov 23, dosage 2.5g/l, blend of C, PN and M, pronounced aromas of spice, nutmeg, lovely energetic core on the palate with good finish. This is absolutely beautiful and punching way above its level. Alexandre mention he was affected by tornado in 2021 and was lucky to be able to get such a fantastic cuvee.

(NV Chartogne-Taillet Champagne Cuvée Sainte Anne) Light yellow color with steady, tiny bubbles; tart apple, tart pear, yeasty nose; yeasty, tart apple, mineral palate; medium-plus finish (good value)
(NV Chartogne-Taillet Champagne Cuvée Sainte Anne) Light yellow color with tiny bubbles; apple, tart pear nose; tart apple, lemon palate; medium finish
(NV Chartogne-Taillet Champagne Cuvée Sainte Anne) Light yellow color with lots of smallish bubbles; poised, tart pear, baked apple nose; tasty, very tart pear, tart apple palate; medium finish (60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir)
(NV Chartogne-Taillet "Cuvée St. Anne" Brut) ($47.00) The crossing has been completed. No longer the soft, apples and butter wine of old (which I liked and will miss!), the new cuvée is starched, oystery and firm, with great authority and underlying richness, and a fine shimmer of saltiness on the finish, which also shows a solid deep PN note. It’s 80% ’07 and 20% ’06-’05, 60%CH/40%PN. Decidedly on the dry side.
(Chartogne Taillet Cuvee St. Anne) #2; COLOR-golden; NOSE-the nose is just gigantic; toasty; lemon custard; PALATE-round; creamy; at $31 bones, this is just a joke; just a GREAT QPR; PR-90; GV-92+
(NV Chartogne-Taillet Champagne Cuvée Sainte Anne) Sweet orange blossom nose; sweet peach and cream with lovely acid, the Pinot coming through; medium-plus finish 91+ pts. (50% Pinot)

2019 base disgorged October 2021. Tiny oxidative hints on the nose. Palate lacks some complexity but is pleasant enough. Decent.
