Saturday, June 8, 2013 - Ruby trending toward purple color. Very nice mouth feel, succulent without being cloying. Black cherry and blackberry fruit, chocolate, caramel, and a bit of licorice. Moderate finish with a good hint of its oak barrel adolescence. For CA, this is restrained. Works as either cocktail or food wine. A-

2/7/2019 Losing the purple now, solid ruby coloring. Black fruit trending to red, some baking spice I didn't get before. Seems to be a different wine than the one I tasted 6 years ago. Not a bad thing, just an observation.

8/12/2019 Similar to my other 2019 note, lots of baking spice, fruit is still there, but seems to be fading. Nice long finish, though.
