Sunday, May 16, 2021 - Perfect cork. P&P and followed over 3 hours. Out of the bottle it definitely had some pungency and begged patience. 1 hour in it started to show its stuff. Overall this drank very youthfully: a lovely pale garnet with strong bouquet of roses and asphalt. Once the wine had time to breathe the palate was a fully integrated cherry cola with the tannins fully integrated. Finish was a little thin. It felt past peak but still drinking well, and clearly had the hands of a master working over a so-so vintage to bring up the quality. Drink up.
