Monday, August 25, 2014 - From 75cl, v. good cork. Decanted 1 hour with no development. Sweetish, slightly flabby, gentle wine with no rough edges, like strawberrry jam (thanks sundiegojc TN 15.03.2014 —you nailed it). Super-low acidity. Good-quality, inoffensive, mother-in-law-pleasing Euro-red, bearing about the same resemblence to real Rioja (whether old- or new-style) as Mouton Cadet does to real Médoc, i.e. precious little. Cynical restauranteurs of the world, listen up: Here is a profit opportunity. The Wine Advocate gave this 92P, which I find completely inexplicable. 85P(?)

schizophrenic wine that hangs somewhere between modern and classic style..not really convincing!
