Friday, January 20, 2017 - Dove straight into this one and found it rounded or polished in many regards, with a little back heat to boot. Pleasant nutmeg aromas on the nose and vaguely herbal qualities with bell pepper and a bit of "pine." Feminine floral fruit notes into mixed dark berry and smoky cedar. Later followed by oak influenced vanilla/clove expressions which eventually predominated. Pepper.

A powerful wine with elusive subtleties - a sure fire bang under $20!

DAY 2: A really nice aged blueberry profile, a bit savoury. Good drink!
