Friday, February 5, 2016 - This is in a much better spot right now than a few years ago. Dark red raspberry and ripe plums on the nose with some sweet spices, pepper and oak notes. Very nice. Dark and juicy red fruits on the palate with a nice balance of fruit and oak. Medium+ acid and medium tannins with a slightly peppery finish. Some zins can be heavy fruit and alcohol bombs and this is actually refreshing and enjoyable to drink with room to grow. Very good.
