Sunday, September 27, 2015 - Poured alongside the 2011 and 2012 at the winery. This is showing some tertiary development, which is fun. It's expressing a slight bit of funk and stewed fruit. Ripe, for sure... overripe perhaps? Certainly tending towards plum meat aromas. Soft and luscious palate entry. More pure red fruit tones here. Soft and pure. High dial up of acid and tart, fresh purity. More evolved notes here as well. Tons of acid quickly takes over. Really intense acid dominating.
