Tuesday, April 5, 2022 - PnP on day 1, no formal note written but informally scored 92-94, vacuvined and refrigerated for 4 days, note from day 5. Appearance: Clear, pale ruby with slight edge browning. Nose: Clean, pronounced intensity with complex developed aromas of perfectly ripe cherry, black raspberry, rose petal, shoe leather, tobacco, and hints of cinnamon - WOW! Palate: Dry, medium+ acid, medium tannin, medium body, medium+ intensity, 14.1% abv with developed flavors of cherry, black raspberry, leather, red licorice, and hints of earth with a long finish. This is peaking right now, can't imagine this getting any better - wonderful fruit notes are balanced by tertiary notes of leather and tobacco, great complexity and intensity with lengthy finish - everything one could ask for from a wine - oh, and this was after being open for 4 days. Peaking now, but has the stuffing to last another 2-3 years easily.
