91 Points

Friday, September 27, 2019 - 60% Grenache, 40% Syrah, very old vines (80 years). Bought at the winery years ago and stored in cool cellar. The color is dark with thin watery rim. The age is detectable in the nose also - calm, but generous with sweet cooked notes. The palate shows 14,5% alcohol, but not overwhelming, integrated. Still fresh acidity and smooth but firm tannins. Best with rich food like duck or game.
