Monday, July 8, 2013 - Tasted at the winery. Having just come off the incredible 2009 Rocche, I was very excited to try the 2007 Riserva. A superb wine with a similar flavor profile to the 2009 with loads of sweet red fruit, but this had a secondary almost exotic element that reminded me of Le Pin. Darker fruit on the palate with a hint of asphalt. Much more structured and tannic than the 2009. Excellent grip and length. A wine built to last.
