Friday, March 30, 2012 - Black cherry, purple color. Meat, smoke and jammy blackberry nose. Smooth with good mouth feel, shockingly open for its age. Smoke, tar, meat, anise, even a little blueberry jam given some air time and white pepper throughout. Along with the Monte Rosso, this is one of the better reds IMHO that Morgan has made. I love big, meaty, smoky syrahs and this is one of the better ones I've had. Drank with only a Vinturi decant.
