Monday, December 28, 2015 - Decanted for 3+ hours. There is so much going on with this wine. Fruit forward and plush in the attack. Doug Wilder's description of chocolate blackberry is dead on. It evolves into primarily blue fruit with layers of smoke and a little tar all wrapped in floral. Did not get the coffee influence that was prominent in other bottles. I opened this a little earlier than I expected to in order to serve at a fellow Bedrock lover's retirement celebration. I hope to hold my last bottle for 5+ years to see the next phase of this wine's evolution.
