Sunday, January 29, 2012 - Tasted over 3 days. Initially PnP as well as Vinturi, then vacuumed and retasted on days 2 and 3. Consistently opened up with air and could/should lay down another few years. Dark plum color with ruby rim. Nose of crushed blueberry, cinnamon, caramel and faint forest floor. Palate is rich and lush with black currant, mocha, pomegranate juice. Evident tannins lead to a medium length drying finish. Acids are present but balanced. A big bruiser of a wine that drinks well with air but will continue to improve.
