Monday, July 23, 2012 - Napa & Sonoma Trip (Dunn, O'Shaughnessy, Conn Valley, Seavey, TOR, Jemrose, Hansel); 7/23/2012-7/26/2012: This saw very little new oak, resulting in mostly dark red fruit with medium body and acidity. What really stood out to me was the spiciness and pepper notes found in many Southern Rhones. Lovely balance and not overripe or hot like some CA grenache producers. 95% grenanche, 5% syrah.
