Tuesday, June 10, 2014 - Translucent garnet - noted some browning on the second day. I had a hard time initially seeing much development with this wine and would love to taste this alongside the 2011 or 2012 vintage to get a good comparison. One thing's clear to me though - there's still a lot of vigour and youthfulness here and i don't see this fading anytime soon. The first aroma is undergrowth rather than fruit - so maybe some secondary aromas are starting to come more into play. And there's still that green pepper/alcoholic kick on the finish that for me is a signature of BM. Will have to check back in a year or so and maybe open a recent bottling beside it.
