Belated note. Very enjoyable bottle. Cola, cherries, and undergrowth. Can detect some bottle age on the wine now. Then fruit is less, the wine is more mellow. Still seems like there's life left. Will be interesting to see where this goes in a couple more years.

Translucent garnet - noted some browning on the second day. I had a hard time initially seeing much development with this wine and would love to taste this alongside the 2011 or 2012 vintage to get a good comparison. One thing's clear to me though - there's still a lot of vigour and youthfulness here and i don't see this fading anytime soon. The first aroma is undergrowth rather than fruit - so maybe some secondary aromas are starting to come more into play. And there's still that green pepper/alcoholic kick on the finish that for me is a signature of BM. Will have to check back in a year or so and maybe open a recent bottling beside it.

med intensity on the nose with lovely big rich cranbery/cherry [the oregon nose/NW nose ] High Acidity, med body, med+ intensity, med finish red fruits spicy attack
Conc: Tasting good now, cpl years to go for sure, see the difference now between this and the stripe label, showing its inexpensive side [not bad thats for sure!]

The wine has become more translucent with time and I think this is starting to gain some secondary characteristics. Quite the pretty aromas immediately upon opening: undergrowth and cherries. There is also a bit of sweetness coming from the alcohol in the wine, but it's not really unpleasant. Still vibrant and I believe this has a lot of life left yet. Blue Mountain Pinot doesn't disappoint.

Dark ruby colour. Fragrant, candied cherry nose. There is some earthy, forest floor aromas that blow off fairly quickly. I feel like this wine needs more time in the bottle and I sense some great potential here. Better than the last bottle I had, this one had more presence. Good effort, will try the next one in 6 months.

Translucent garnet color. Whereas the first bottle of this I had more than a year ago was concentrated, big and bold this bottle is completely the opposite - understated and feminine. This might be partly from bottle shock transporting the wine. Some cherry and a bit of earth. Very clean and easy to drink. Good, but a bit dissapointing.

13.5% - Clear pale ruby / Clean, Med intensity – black cherry, a bit vegetal (mushroom), very interesting and pleasant nose / dry, med+ acidity, med body, low soft tannin, med intensity, med length and more complexity to the nose than palate but remains a good Q/P. Some cherry-cola on the palate. Even though the first glass left an oak/wood aftertaste on my palate, it seemed to go away as the wine got some air to breath and became quite smooth without undesirable oaky flavor that don’t let the fruit speak. Based on this bottle, I suppose the last bottle I tried was a flaw.

Transparent. Spicy sour cherry cola, pine needle nose. sweetish entry with vanilla, cedary well integrated sweet tannins, butterscotch lifting acidity on lingering finish. New world fruit on old world structure. Excellent QPR

A nice light ruby red colour. Decanted for around 30 minutes. Smells of floral, strawberry, cherry, and wood. Wine seems strong, perhaps it's still young or needs more time to breath.

Appealing florals, humus, caramel and herbaceous notes on the nose. The palate was a little disappointing after the boquet: monodimensional and thrown off by a troubling sweetness and some perceived a slight sparkle, like a referment started up in the bottle. The jury is still out on the long term. Initially this wine did not agree with me, but after one day it seems to have shed its sweet mouth feel. The tannins and acid are still quite present. Will lay down a few bottles to see how it ages.

- Ruby color with medium forming legs and aromas of strawberry, rose and dusty. It's balanced and has flavours of mint, strawberry and dusty with a medium body. Angular texture with a long finish - I really liked it. Especially for the price point of a a good quality Canadian Pinot. Classic sburgundian nose of rose petals and compost. Cfris acidity almost wings at mint and wild strawberries. The earthy Pinot nose follows through onto the palate as well. Tannins have a bit of a hard edge but I'm sure it will soften and smooth out shortly.

PnP. Strong crimson color but still clearly pinot. Big red fruit aromas and a touch of earth. Full of nice ripe red fruit but with balancing acidity. A bit weak on the finish.

I had this lovely wine with Beef Bourguignon last night; perfect match! A bit strong at the first sip but after breathing for an hour I become quite addicted. Subtle cherries on the nose and lovely spice on the finish. Couldn't keep it for the next day ;)

Darker colour. There's a lot going on with the nose. Initially there's some rose petal aromas, but this disappeared and became a more Burgundian earthy type nose. I also had a distinct smell of some other savory type aroma, but I can't describe what it was. Quite a mysterious bouquet! There was not a lot of acidity on the palate reflecting the warmer vintage. Some tannins and a bit of residual sweetness and heat on the finish. On the second day the sweetness was gone. This wine seemed a little disjointed, but May'be this is just it's youth. I prefer the 2008 right now, but I will still buy more of the 2009.

Blue mountain is the steady pinot producer of the Okanagan. Decent nose, well balanced fruit and spice tones, though neither particularly strong.
