Monday, March 10, 2014 - Deep, thick purple, with a clear rim showing little sign of age. Nose is intense, with black cherry, blueberry, blackberry, mint, pipe tobacco, and hints of game and spice. Subtle but complex integration of the aromas. Full bodied on the palate. Acid is med +, tannins are a little weak perhaps for this big of a wine. Black cherry, mocha and spice on the finish, which is long. Over delivers for the price.
