Thursday, December 29, 2011 - Decanted 90 mins. ahead. Medium ruby color with a bit of orange. The nose leads with musky aromas, followed by baking spices, cherries, and strawberries. Medium-light on the palate, with good acid balance, lively but not grippy. Finishes a bit quickly with orange peel and very light tannins. The animal aromas of musk and wet fur are something of a problem here; maybe it's just this bottle. I have another one and will try that soon. In any case it's drinkable for sure, but I have to say that I hoped for more.
