Tuesday, July 9, 2013 - Tasted blind. Nice nose of blueberries, blackberries, plum, leather and some mushroomy earthiness as well as a touch of smokiness. Medium-full body with medium, silky tannins and a still medium acidity providing freshness. Good length. Slightly modern interpretation of Brunello, but in a complex style. Towards the end of the night, the bottle showed traces of oxidation... so I guess it's time to drink up.
