Friday, September 12, 2014 - Rich nose of honey, apricot, sweet flowers, caramel and mandarin orange. Holds itself well on the palate. Sure it's rich but the acid is clean and helps balance it out. The apricot, glazed peach, candied apple and honey flavors are quite complex and deep. I dig the quinine and crushed rock elements that linger onto the finish. Sweet, nutty, rich, but it's got a lot going on for it. Tasted from a bottle that had been opened the night before for about 9 people, and the 500ml bottle was still half full. Speaks to the level of richness in this wine. Open with lots of people around!
