Tuesday, July 1, 2014 - PnP. Brought to Butcher and the Boar. Dark burgundy in color. Like the first bottle, this had a fairly muted nose of sweet strawberries and spice, but no cola. On the palate, sweet berries framed by oak with a healthy amount of acidity to wash things down. Very nice, but I wish it had more of a nose. If it did, I'd give it a 93. Paired fantastically well with a fruity/smoked double cut pork chop.
Enjoyed in a Riedel Vinum Pinot Noir glass. Yes, I brought them to the restaurant. Good thing because the restaurant's glasses were severely lacking.
