Friday, September 19, 2014 - Charleston III - the Weekend; 9/18/2014-9/20/2014 (Charleston SC - various locations incl. Red Drum, Halls, Circa 1886, and Kings Courtyard Inn): Popped and poured. Good smokey flavor, great pepper. There's a very unique taste to this that I can't quite put my finger on. It's prob linked to the Viognier in the mix. Maybe a balsamic? Very interesting. First experience with a La-La and it's tasty stuff.

9/20/2014 11:01:00 AM - I suspect that is the Viognier which given the line up of 100% syrahs last night is probably the "je'nesais quoi" of which you speak.

I don't know the percentage for this vintage but is often 7%
