Saturday, May 7, 2016 - Brought with us to Vintage on Fifth, Crystal River ($15 corkage). Halfway through eight bottles purchased in 2011. This now seems fully mature. Much more elegant on the palate than before. Still displays ample black cherry and dark currant fruit - just not as much as previous bottles - while secondary notes of chocolate and spice have crept in from the background. Balanced, harmonious and not nearly as tannic and chewy as earlier bottles. Finishes very long - with just a touch of oak. Actually seemed to gain length and depth throughout the evening. Elegant, polished and seamless.
