Friday, June 27, 2014 - HDH Auction (Tru - Chicago, IL): Tasted double-blind. Guessed a 2000 Chave, so had to pat myself on the back for that. Had the classic gamey, rich nose from Chave with some darker, earthy notes mixed in too. Palate was in a good place already with brambly, dark fruit, some meat, some earth and florals. Classic Chave.
