Monday, June 30, 2014 - This is an interesting contrast to the Linne Calodo Slacker we drank last night. Paso wine vs. Washington, this one has more Syrah and Mourvedre and less Grenache. This is also a 2009 vintage not a 10. You can taste the additional Syrah, there is a little more acid in this bottle. This has wonderful fruit, a hint of dark cherry mixed in with a complex mixture of dark fruit, spice and earth and a long flavorful finish. This isn't quite as smooth as The Slacker, and doesn't have as amusing a name, but holds its own as a wonderfully flavorful wine.
