Saturday, March 14, 2015 - WSET Level 4 Course - WSET School; 9/6/2014-5/23/2015 (WSET School, Bermondsey): Appearance: The wine is Clear with a Deep ruby colour. It has a creamy mousse
Nose: The nose is Clean and Youthful, showing Pronounced intensity primary aromas of black plum, blackberry, black cherry, bramble and secondary aromas of sweet spices.
Palate: The wine is Medium Dry in the mouth with a Medium level of acidity. It has Medium Ripe/Soft tannins and a Medium(+) Level of alcohol (13.50%). It has Full body and Pronounced intensity primary flavours of blackberry, bramble, black cherry, black plum and secondary flavours of Sweet spices. The finish is Long. It has a creamy mousse. Jammy/stewed fruit character. Fizzy Ribena with alcohol
Overall: Ripe fruit, good typicity. Good structure - long, intense. Lacks complexity. Good well made wine but just not my thing at all
Conclusion: It is a Very Good quality wine. Drink Now; not suitable for Ageing or Further Ageing Not intended for ageing; High priced (£12.95)
