The producer recommends opening the bottle at least 8 hours prior to tasting, pouring a little off the top, and letting it sit for the day. We did exactly that, and it opened up wonderfully. Very pure expression of brunello, with so much amazing history behind it. I'm sure you can probably find equally as good a brunello at half the price point, but we certainly weren't disappointed with the wine. I will be buying more.
