Saturday, March 13, 2004 - Medium/dark red, still young looking, only slightest lightening at edge. Very aromatic, with sweet cherries, red fruits, tobacco, minerals-- If it wasn't for the tobacco aromas, I would have guessed it was Pinot. Medium bodied, balanced, silky texture. It has sweet red fruits, rasberries, cherries, cassis, a little mid-palate dilution. Overall an elegant, balanced wine that is more akin to Burgundy than Bordeaux but enjoyable and interesting. Very light tannins, decent persistence on the tangy finish.
