Sunday, August 15, 2010 - Notes from day 2 open. Very dark crimson-ruby, 95% opaque. Powerful nose of lilac, blackcurrant, white pepper, a little earth. Palate is big and lush, with quite the tannic and acidic spine that PGM accurately describes as austere and lots to enjoy. Great balance as the alcohol is barely noticeable. Smooth complexion overall and an incredible value for $8.99 at Amazing Grapes. Get it while you can. (5+11+16+7) = 89
