87 Points

Wednesday, September 21, 2011 - Slow O'd for a day. Still, an almost fully opaque cloak of dark ruby, average legs and no sediment. Primary black fruit bouquet with a touch of mature oxidation creeping in. Medium bodied, lively acidity, and the tannins are holding their presence. Fruit fading a little, but overall it's still so smooth and nicely balanced. Great everyday bottle to remind me how good a $10 wine can be. And out of the six I purchased, there was that one I drank in Janurary that just seemed to soar out of it's league, supporting the old adage that there are only good bottles, not good wines 5+10+15+7 = 87
