Tuesday, April 23, 2013 - Smells like an oak-aged Chardonnay past its prime. Flavors of aged Savenierres indeed, as well as of seltzer. High in acidity, but not over the top, probably in part because of the relatively low alcohol (10.5% ABV). Resembling a Vinho Verde, but higher toned, with a lime leitmotiv, and a salty, Alka Seltzer-llike finish. Nice well chilled, or just slightly chilled. Perfect with crisp-fried ono and a mashed potato/kale puree (and a dash of smoky olive oil), and would probably be a perfect schnitzel pairing too. 87-88
