Sunday, September 15, 2019 - A beautiful old Napa Cab. Opaque dark red in color, hardly any fading at the edges. Licorice and black cherry on the nose. The dark fruit is still lush, but not at all jammy. Black cherries, blackberry, semi-sweet chocolate, cassis. Smooth tannins, nice acidity, fine balance. The finish is moderately long, but subtle, cherry and anise. A lovely old cab, rich and smooth. Doesn't look like it will be heading south over the next 3 to 5 years, perhaps longer depending on your palate preferences.
