Sunday, September 25, 2016 - From a Christies auction where the cellar consisted of the wines from the 20s through the early 60s. Excellent appearance. Every single bottle has been exceptional. Still displaying intense dark color. Intoxicating fully mature Bordeaux nose with a hint of VA, still generous plum and cassis driven fruit, beguiling tertiary notes, cedar, caramel, leather, pine sap and etc. Also sweet balsamic note, eucalyptus and mineral. Beautiful harmony and balance, incredibly sweet red fruit driven palate impression, strong presence of acidity, still a hint of tannins and lovely long finish. Another incredible showing. I would love to serve this blind against the 59 Latour.
