95 Points

Thursday, April 23, 2015 - A Decadent Night of 1990's Napa Cabs and Bordeaux (Chez Dalluge, MN): Very dark red color, no bricking. Slow-O for 45 minutes with no decant; drank 1 glass over 3 hours. Great nose, very similar to the '95 montelena, earth, perfume, but richer and darker black fruits. The palate shines with layers of black and blue fruits; deep and concentrated without being overtly heavy, despite the glycerin; deep blackberry, blackberry liqueur, cassis, spices, pepper, some wood, and a full bodied richness that coasts into a long finish ( just a bit of heat at times). Classy and gorgeous, with a bit of savoriness on the lengthy finish. I loved this. 95+pts.
