Thursday, April 23, 2015 - This was flighted with a 95 Montelena. What a great flight. I found it very difficult to rank one of these better than the other. I liked the structure of the Montelena and the accessibility of the Insignia. Maybe a slight edge to the Insignia for its more friendly temperament tonight? Both lovely and both would do well blind in a high end BDX tasting. Both wines evolved and changed significantly from the first pour but especially the Insignia.
