Wednesday, December 21, 2011 - The 97 Cult cab/Meritage dinner at RIS in DC: This was a Justin Bonner’s contribution and drank none-blind. Wonderfully expressive youthful nose of Lead pencil, milk, crèmes de cassis, crushed blackberries, licorice, ash and etc. The oak component is still not fully resolved. Chewy palate with excellent concentration and still strong presence of tannins that are not obtrusive due to generous fruits. An impressive wine that seems to have a lot greater aging potential than the others.
