Friday, January 3, 2014 - Medium/dark red. Decanted 1/2 hour before tasting at the table for a reasonable corkage. Drank over the next hour. Immediate nose of mature red berries, light cedar, lighter oak. Almost silky up front, then good balance throughout. Somewhat short finish with tannins showing but easy. Went well with a prime rib dinner. Purchased at release and cellared correctly.
