89 Points

Tuesday, May 10, 2011 - Innocent young riesling, white in colour like an eiswein. Great minerality with wet stones, steel, talcum powder and jasmine florality. Ripe citrus, grapefruit, also candy store and bubblegum notes. Lovely interplay between sweetness and acids, great mouthfeel. Problem is, we (two tasters) detect a mouldy note (like old bread, but definitely not corked) both on the nose and on the palate. It might be a problem, and it doesn't contribute to the enjoyment tonight - therefore a slight caution and a conservative rating. The price is €68 at the domaine, and it's hard to get to buy some.
