Wednesday, February 11, 2015 - I've come to realize I really love this old-school style of Rioja. Nose is full of Spain, vanilla, dill, butter, together with a little burned wood, dried fruit, fennel and a little barnyard.
Medium acidity, medium(-) body, round and slender. There's some tannins here, but they are quite fine. Good intensity and length. Not a big wine, but elegant and absolutely brilliant! WOTN for me!
A few others seemed to like it as well, as it was one of few bottles that was emptied.
Not at all as big and fruity as I remembered it from last time I tasted it, about a year ago. But the company this time around were a lot more heavier, with a 15% Priorat on its right side and a Roda I on its left side.
