Wednesday, April 4, 2012 - Decanted about 30 minutes. A nice ruby red color. Cherries, minerals, pepper, dried herbs, licorice, and scorched earth on the very nice nose. Medium body with ripe, integrated tannins and very nice acidity. Palate shows absolutely no excess weight or overly ripe elements. A very civilized Aussie Syrah. Nice length on the finish with spicy cherries and some dried herbs. This is in prime drinking window.
