Friday, January 30, 2015 - Rieslingfeier 2015 Seminar: "Saar Diversity" (The Modern (Manhattan, NYC)): This screams 2010. The nose opens with zingy citric acid - tangerine, passion fruit, tropical fruits, slate/flint, honey. Clearly sweet on the nose but the acid cuts like a razor. This gets that magical creaminess as everything blends perfectly. Sweet&sour as well. The palate is a wow! - lime, passion fruit, banana, pineapple, searing acidity, spice, honey. Lip-smacking citrus on the finish. Electric. Delicious. Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 5+/6, Finish - 5.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17.5+/20.
