Had next to Thanisch Doctor Auslese 2010 and at outset this was better by a fair margin. See if it holds true tomorrow. Balance is absolutely beguiling and the viscous minerality is remarkable. You have your bike shop rubber, riesling-berries and the slightest of mint. Doesn't come across as overly acidic despite difficult vintage. Fruit is intact and I can't see how this would fade any time soon.

Lovely. I am getting tired of write ups on Zilliken. They are just lovely. Vintage wise - acid is not up there with the best but sufficient for more time in the cellar.

The German Crush Tour; 10/8/2017-10/16/2017: Dry apricot notes, very floral and quite complex, touches of BA depth for a wine with low botrytis, delicious already and should be quite excellent in the next decade. powerful core of acidity keeping it fresh. Why wait? :)

Nose: honeyed tee, jasmine, honey suckle, allspice? / hint of smokiness Palate: great acidity on the mid palate after the initial sweetness, pureness of honey, beautiful flowery tea notes

Rieslingfeier 2015 Seminar: "Saar Diversity" (The Modern (Manhattan, NYC)): This screams 2010. The nose opens with zingy citric acid - tangerine, passion fruit, tropical fruits, slate/flint, honey. Clearly sweet on the nose but the acid cuts like a razor. This gets that magical creaminess as everything blends perfectly. Sweet&sour as well. The palate is a wow! - lime, passion fruit, banana, pineapple, searing acidity, spice, honey. Lip-smacking citrus on the finish. Electric. Delicious. Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 5+/6, Finish - 5.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17.5+/20.

Pure, fresh, intense fruity nose. Delicate honey note, yellow apple, a shy minerality and some almost tropical fruit suggestions. Medium-dry, medium sweet with a fantastic grip and intensity. Both the sweetness and the acidity are long, but maybe the sweetness is a Little bit longer. Midpalate of yellow fruit and citrus. Very Young. Pure, racy, and elegant with just a hint of petrol (5%). But doesn't it lack some minerality. Potentially 93 Points.

Pale gold colour with a ripe passion fruit and lime filled nose. Intensely sweet fruit; crucnhy apple and mandarin orange, full and powerful but with lovely citrus freshness. Excellent.

Crisp and citrussy for an Auslese, bright acidity supporting the rich sweetnes. Just a little above my preferred sweetness level.

At winery. Opposite of ‘03, cooler vintage. Already some secondary notes. Dried raisins (?). Sweeter than ‘03 surprisingly, higher acidity.
