91 Points

Friday, June 7, 2013 - Tasting with good frends. (@ MatH): Very sweet bouquet with ripe red as well as black forest fruits. On the palate juicy fruits and firm acidity. A lot of oak. Still very youthful. The majority thought this was almost mind blowing, but I was a little less enthusiastic. Ok a very good wine, but all the pieces, especially the oak, still have to fall in its proper place. 91(++?) for tonight.

5/4/2015 3:56:00 PM - Too soon, dear Zweder ...Fernando loves new oak and 2004 isn't an open, a fruity vintage; there were some exceptions of course but this idnt one of those.
    Cheers!

5/4/2015 4:06:00 PM - Agree with you dear Harley. As you can see by the (++?) behind the score. But fyi; this was not my bottle. And to be honest; I don’t even own a single bottle of this producer. But I know in the meantime I should have. So I am waiting for a good opportunity to buy some. Cheers! Z.

Seriously speaking I just comment about bottles I own. To be sincere I am trying to cut on comments 'cause don't want to disturb so much, excepting with open-mind people like you mainly I like to write, speak and share about wine, all the time.
Too late for Spanish standards? Don't think so. Perhaps that's why siesta was invented by us :-)
    Cheers!

5/5/2015 3:01:00 AM - Valbuena? I see ...for an average vintage, ten years is a must. Lot if people is discovering Valbuena as a hidden gem these days :-)
    Cheers!
