Thursday, January 28, 2016 - A lovely effort from Xavier Vignon, the 2009 Cuvée Anonyme is totally open for business tonight. Tannins are silky and fine tuned signalling the wine is clearly approachable. All components speak with one harmonious voice. Balance, integration and power being the three keywords here. The nose expresses dark mature fruits and heavy duty morellos, but also a rather forward creamy vanilla tone. This wine drinks perfectly now but will last for many years in the cellar.
